Crnjelovka slivovitz is made using only prime quality plums and contains neither additives nor artificially introduced chemicals. The plums are harvested by hand by shaking the trees only when they are fully ripened. At this moment there is an ideal sugar-acidity ratio, the fruits are soft, scented and with a golden yellow flesh and a darker area around the kernel. A traditional method of distillation is used, in hand-forged cauldrons that confer on the final product its unmistakable flavour of ripe fruit.
